I'm a husband, father, a grandfather, a Canadian and a Texan.

Shirley and I were married in Lubbock TX, then moved to Canada.  Ten years and three children later we moved to Texas, where I started several Big Country Telephone Directories (later called Area-Wide). A few years later I sold my directories to an investment group, and for the next 20 years worked as the field director for Texas Midwest Community Network

TMCN was organized in 1994 to help Texas Midwest Towns and Cities promote economic and community growth through tourism.  For the first 22 years TMCN was guided by Executive Director Nicki Harle, now Callahan County Judge. TMCN,  is in its 33rd year is guided by Executive Director Lori Dodd.

Most of us learned our lessons from parents, brothers, spouse, family, and work colleague's. We all have history to share and learn from made up of the many lessons. It's those lessons that have shaped us.

Each day I try to start my day with a quiet time, but I’m not perfect in doing what I know is best.  Over the years I have been reminded, in different ways by different people, of these timeless words, “we don’t know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future”.
